The best way to describe the difference between bacterial vaginosis and yeast infection is of the type of discharge as the cause. In a yeast infection (Yi), vaginal discharge is usually odorless, thick and white. Discharge BV is gray or white, thin and almost translucent. In most cases, have an unpleasant fishy smell.
